Author TK Bethea announces release of ‘The Adventures of Doc Holliday Hennings’
NEW YORK – In “The Adventures of Doc Holliday Hennings” (published by Lulu) by TK Bethea, a boy and his father adopt a dog in a cowboy hat to cope with the recent loss of the boy’s mother. When the dog, who they name Doc Holliday, overhears a conversation that makes him think his adoptive family doesn’t truly love him, Doc runs away to find his birth family and encounters a world of trouble.
Illustrated by Corey Wolfe, who has worked on projects for companies such Disney and Hanna-Barbera, Bethea set out to address a number of modern issues including bullying, adoption and mixed cultural upbringings turn in bed an adventure filled with poetic resonance and compelling characters.
“Family comes in many forms that can be made of various kinds of friendships and relationships other than genetics,” says Bethea.

About the Author
TK Bethea is a songwriter and storyteller who began writing in order to share exciting stories with his daughter. Inspired by memories of his childhood dog, also called Doc Holliday, he created a tale that addresses issues such as blended families, stepparents, half-siblings, mixed cultural upbringings and bullying he currently lives in Queens, New York.
